Wings News and Announcements:

Welcome to the 2010 flying season!  Although we've had a rather windy kickoff to our spring flying weather, there have been some beautiful West Texas mornings and afternoons just perfect for flying.

Our Flagship event, West Texas Warbirds is just around the corner on August 6th-8th.  This event is a real treat and will feature many military aircraft in campaign colors and markings for a special, model airshow spectacle.  Pilots from Texas, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Colorado and others are expected to attend and bring their best fighters, trainers, bombers and transports.  Food and drinks by Cast Iron Grill Catering will be available Saturday and Sunday and will include breakfast and other picnic menu items.  Spectators will once again have the opportunity to view the aircraft up close, talk to pilots, and vote in the People's Choice award on Saturday at noon.  Spectators will be admitted at $5.00 per adult, kids 12 and under are free.  Please take advantage of our canned food drive and receive $1.00 off admission with each canned food item (no limit)! With good weather, this event promises to deliver an excellent model airshow!  See the EVENTS page for all the details.

My best wishes for a safe and enjoyable summer of friends, flying and fun!
