Membership to Wings Miniature Aircraft Society (wingsmas) offers value to every modeler at every skill level.  Our organization is family and community oriented and has offered programs and assistance with scouting organzations, a free R/C flight instruction program, civil air patrol cooperation and civic club presentations.  Our organization has made significant donations to the American Red Cross, South Plains Food Bank and the American Diabetes Association.  We value friendship and comaraderie that goes beyond the flying field! 

    Wings Miniature Aircraft Society can offer successful school programs including classroom extension and science fair assistance.  We are proud that one of our junior members, Collin McLarty, placed first in physical sciences at Lubbock-Cooper Middle School in 2007 and 2008.  Both awards led to opportunities for competition at the South Plains Regional Science and Engineering Fair at Texas Tech University.  His efforts led to first place in the physical science division at the regional level in 2007, gaining him eligibility for state level competition.

    Wingsmas is a great introduction into many aviation careers including engineering, full scale flying and aviation science as well as many military aviation careers.
